Comes out with a machete out of the woods just out of nowhere. Hola amigos! Jim and May here from Spanish and Go and we're coming at you from Guanajuato, Mexico.
A Level Two on the U.S. State Department travel advisory scale. But why do we mention that? Well, because there's a question we get asked all the time. Is Mexico dangerous? So, after years of living and traveling in Mexico we feel very qualified to answer that question. So in this video we're going to give you nine tips for traveling safely through Mexico. Emecemos. Drugs. Rape. Murder. Dismembering. Kidnapping. Crime get the free spins bonus in Canadian casino. These are all things that people tend to associate with Mexico. But why? If you come to Mexico are you going to get kidnapped or murdered? The reality of the situation is quite different than what the media often portrays. The U.S. State Department has a travel advisory scale level which goes from one to four. Number four being do not go there. And there's five states in Mexico which are in the four level which are. Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero, Sinaloa, and Tamaulipas. And from those five states we have visited three and I have from one of them. I am from Colima. And Colima is now supposedly the most dangerous place in Mexico right now. And Colima is actually where we've spent the most time in Mexico. We've even hitchhiked there and we're still alive. So we've traveled all over Mexico flying, taking trains, driving for hours, and have we ever felt unsafe May? Not really. We know that most of the violence here in Mexico is related to cartels so if you're coming to Mexico and you have no plans of buying or selling drugs you are doing a lot already to protect yourself from crime. That's right. Crack is whack. Stay away from the drugs you're probably going to be fine. So we have nine tips that we want to share with you. These are things that we do all the time to stay safe here in Mexico. So tip number one driver only during the day. We are very strict about this. We make sure that if we're going to be traveling by car that we only drive during the day. We take buses at night occasionally. But if we're driving you don't want to find yourself driving along a highway somewhere only to be stopped by some nefarious criminals. We've heard of this happening. People get stopped on the highway sometimes especially when they're vulnerable. And when are you most vulnerable? At night. On top of that I'd make sure that you take a toll road whenever possible day or night. That's going to make sure that there's some check points in between the cities that you're driving through that kind of help make sure that there's not anything fishy going on. Usually with those checkpoints they can kind of monitor what's going on on the highway. The second tip we have for you is to never put all your money in one spot and also never have too much money on you. So all we do is that if we have our things at the place we're staying we leave some — most of the money — we'll leave it there. And we only go out with just what we need for the day. If we're going out for lunch and then we know maybe we want to go to a museum or something. We only have enough for each day with us.

So I would say, yeah, I would say like spring time is a great season to have a little bit of everything, as is Fall. - Right now, yeah I think we got a good taste of everything.
The road were still good, conditions were good. We still got to see a little bit of the changing of the colors when we were hiking around the canyon. - [Steve] That's true, yeah. - So I think right now is actually the perfect time to go. I mean, we were lucky enough to choose. - But yeah, for us the shoulder season because we're not tied to holidays, shoulder season is great. So we were traveling end of October and a few days in November. Perfect. (upbeat electronic music) We were here for like two weeks altogether. - Yeah. - So that we have 10 days for the Ring Road, a little bit more than a week is a good choice for the Ring Road. - Yeah, if you have the chance, I mean I know a lot of the people that we've met along the road said they only had about four or five days and so they were going up to certain aspects of the Ring Road and then coming back down especially on the South and the East coast. But if you have the opportunity, the West and the North is just incredible. So a few extra days, I would say go up there. We felt, I don't know if you would say rushed, but we had things to do every single day. We were ticking them off the list and obviously we spent more time, like Steve says, in each location filming and photography and things like that. But yeah, the more time you have here, I'd say two weeks for the Ring Road and you will not get bored. - The more, the better when it comes down to real adventure. Also, if you want to do the central Highlands you need to have, you need to bring some time. So if you want to do the Ring Road and the central Highlands, two weeks might be what you're looking at. If you just want to go for like a mini-adventure, if you have a stopover which is possible with certain airlines, Iceland Air for example, they do that, you can have a seven day stopover without additional costs when you, for example, fly to the U.S. then it makes sense maybe to just have like three or four days then do some day trips to the South. (upbeat electronic music) What would you do if you had three or four days? - I would definitely do the Golden Circle. - Uh huh. - And I would head down South. I would head to Vík to see some water, I mean on the Golden Circle you have one big waterfall you see. - Okay. - But down South you have the waterfalls. - Yeah. Also, glaciers is what you can't see when you're on the Golden Circle. - Okay. - But if you're here in summer and you rent a 4x4, you can go a little bit into the Highlands. Otherwise you're not allowed to drive on them.
So if you want to truly explore, get a 4x4. And then if you are staying maybe a little bit shorter, you want to do some day trips from Reykjavik then a normal rental car to go to the South, to Vík for example. (upbeat electronic music) - Yeah, the roads close by Reykjavik are very good. Everything is paved, it's really nice. It's only up until you get out of the city, out of the main areas that the roads start getting a little rough. There was a few times we had road closures. But for the most part we got lucky also with the weather. The weather can turn like this in Iceland very very quickly. So having that 4x4 gave us a little bit of comfort knowing that we could get through these spots. - And what you can do beforehand is each day you should check, there is a certain website which tells you where road closures, how are the road conditions, there's a very good system here in Iceland. (upbeat electronic music) There are basically two big options you can do depending on the time you bring. You have the Ring Road, this is the one we did. - Yep. - This takes you through all of Iceland, it's basically road number 1. And you start at Reykjavik and end up in Reykjavik. And the same goes for the Golden Circle road. You also start in Reykjavik and end up in Reykjavik but this is a roundtrip, doable in one day which takes you to some waterfalls, to some springs, Blue Lagoon, geysers, and a crater. Golden Circle is obviously very, very popular and it's hard to escape the tourists. (upbeat electronic music) It is always a good time to travel to Iceland. It just depends on what you are searching for. If you want to see the Northern Lights, for example, you need to come more in the darker times because in summer the sun doesn't really set. So summer is also the most popular time. If you want to avoid the tourists, you shouldn't come in summer but of course in summer it's warmer. - Yes. - So which makes up for opportunities to go to the central Highlands and go hiking there, which is not really possible in winter because it's harder to access. • However, not long after the video was posted on the internet blizzard hot-fixed Reckoning so that you could only save up 5 charges, returning Paladins to being healbots until the release of The Burning Crusade. 4 –Final Fantasy VII: Item Duplication, • Item duplication is one of the most common and most useful of all types of exploits, especially in RPGs, and perhaps the most famous of these is the Final Fantasy VII dupe trick. • To execute the glitch you need to enter a battle, select the item you want to duplicate, confirm it, then select another item and when the arrow is over a character's head andcancel the item; every time you do this the item will duplicate https://oncasinogames.com/online-casinos/.
• You can also use this glitch in combination with the morph materia, allowing you to horde source items; these items increase one of your stats, this can be used to make you like a god, but not an actual god or you would become a boss in the next Final Fantasy game. 3–Super Mario 64: Endless Stairs Shortcut, • Super Mario 64 is the first and still one of the best 3D platformers, proof of this is the still alive speed-running community; one of the most important glitches in the any percentage speed runs is the backwards long-jump exploit. • To bypass the endless stairs and the last star door you need to face Mario backwards and the camera so it’s facing Mario, aim at the right angle and backwards long jump quickly up the stairs – if you do it right you should bypass the door or the stairs. • Using this glitch in combination with violating a rabbit, you can beat the game with as little as 16 stars. 2 –Super Mario Brothers Melee: Wave Dashing, • Super Smash Bros. Melee has been fighting for its right to be a fighting game since not long after its release, one of the biggest reasons it was (begrudgingly) allowed into EVO and the FGC is the exploit Wave Dashing. • Wave Dashing requires you to jump and immediately press L or R and diagonally down on the control stick; this technique allows you to move as fast as a dash whilst being able to use anything you could normally use whilst standing still. • This removal of this technique in Brawl, among other things, caused a huge uproar and resentment towards the game, of course this didn’t stop any of the people complaining about it from buying the game the day it came out. 1 –Pokémon Red & Blue: Missingno • Perhaps the most well known and loved jumbled mess of pixels, everyone and their dog has talked to the old man, flown to Cinnabar Island and reaped the benefits of 99 rare candies. • When you talk to the old man in pallet town your name is briefly changed to ‘OLD MAN’, during this time the Programmers decided to store your actual name in the space where wild encounters are calculated. When you go to a new zone with grass this would be reset, however, since Cinnabar Island has no grass and has the potential to find wild Pokémon this generates the new bug Pokémon: Missingno. • The downside is that if you actually catch Missingno your save data has a high chance of being corrupted, the tag line ‘gotta catch ‘em all’ can really bite your ass here. 10 –Mario Kart 64: Rainbow Road Shortcut, • Pretty much everyone found out about this one without needing the internet, be it via a game with a friend or just by messing around on their own; jumping over a fence must be an innate desire found in mankind. • The shortcut is right near the beginning of the course, just as you start down the massive slope you need to Boing using L and aim towards the road bellow, where you’ll land with a satisfying Poomp. • If you miss you’ll go soaring through space for eternity, well, at least until Lakitu notices that you’re escaping from his testing grounds and brings you back to the endless races.
9 –Halo 2: Sword Flying, • Speaking of soaring, this exploit allows you to do just that, there are a few versions of Sword Flying in the Halo games, the most spectacular of which is in Halo 2 where you get to leave the boundaries of reality, or at least the game’s map. • To Sword Fly you need a warthog and a sword, you then need to get into the passenger seat of said hog and lock on to an enemy, have them move away and then attempt to attack them, the results are hurtling. • Unfortunately, this exploit wasn’t reintroduced in the Master Chief Collection; maybe if they left it in people wouldn’t have noticed the crippling issues with its multiplayer. 8 –Dark Souls: Bottomless Box Glitch, • The multiplayer in Dark Souls is one of the soul reasons it’s a cult hit, a big help towards that is that there’s so many possibilities for character builds, however, setting up your character takes a lot of time; this exploit once allowed people to bypass the grind. • To do it, you need to put all of the items you want to transfer in a bottomless box, have all 10 save slots used, perform a bit of menu trickery and then overwrite another character – bam – your new character now has a ring of immortality and a +94 sword of desecration. • The downside is that this exploit has now been patched out and now you can’t have a level 1 character that one shots bosses, red-phantoms and your enemies’ hopes and dreams, without actually playing the game properly, what a shame. 7 –Grand Theft Auto III: Flying Tank, • GTA wouldn’t be GTA without over-the-top violence, and what says over-the-top violence better than a Tank propelling itself through the air using the thrust from its main canon? • GTA 3 has quite a few cheat codes (remember those?) but the flying tank was not one of them, all you had to do was find a long road, aim the canon behind you and fire as quick as possible, eventually you would start flying. • This wasn’t the most efficient form of transport, nor was it the safest, but it was definitely the most entertaining way to get from point A to point B. 6 –Skyrim: Bucket Head, • Everyone knows that buckets are an integral part of theft, or at least in Skyrim they are. This exploit allows you to bypass the law with the simple use of a large container. • All you need to do is place a bucket over the shopkeeper’s head and you won’t get caught for taking whatever you please, be it a suspicious book on Argonian maids or a sweetroll, there is no limit to what you can take using this exploit. • The bad news is, this method for theft has been patched out, however, you can always just use the console or mods to give you whatever you want, but where’s the fun in that? 5 –World of Warcraft: Reckoning Bomb, • Soloing a same level raid boss in WoW isn’t possible, but back in Vanilla WoW a Paladin managed to do so using the Reckoning Bomb technique, to do it he had to: have no life, spend three hours getting critically hit one-thousand-eight-hundred-and-sixteen times and break three daggers. • Paladins used to have an ability that allowed you to save up hits to use all at once and one user did so to get the server first kill of the 40-man raid-boss Kazzak, thus proving to the world that non-healing paladins in vanilla weren’t totally useless. From a tank that flies by shooting its load, to using a bucket as a method of theft, we count 15 of the greatest video game exploits of all time. 15 –Mega Man 1: Pause Trick, • Killing the Yellow Devil in Megaman 1 is no easy task, that is, unless you decide to bitch out and use the pause trick, which allows you to slay the devil in the cheapest and quickest way possible. • Since Capcom couldn’t think of a use for 4 different non-directional inputs, Megaman 1 has two pause buttons, select and start. • To perform the exploit you just fire a shot at a boss, pause the game with select when the shot hits the boss, wait, un-pause the game, and the boss will take more damage from the same shot. Rinse and repeat until the boss is 8-bit custard. 14 –Super Mario Brothers: Infinite Lives, • This exploit involves precision, turtles and a stocky plumber and bouncing up and down whilst creating new little guys.
• In order to pull off the exploit you need to go world 3-1, find the stair case with two koopas on it and bounce on the second one at just the right place so that you keep jumping up and down automatically. At this point you can sit back, relax and do a little dance. • Despite the name ‘infinite lives’, if you go over one-hundred-and-twenty-nine lives the game begins to glitch out and suddenly your lives will count as negative, so you probably shouldn’t get too excited from watching Mario have fun with the turtle and actually pay attention. 13 –Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Extra Bottles, • Bottles in Hyrule are an incredibly rare commodity, using this exploit you can crash the economy; to complete this glitch all you need is a bottle, a beetle and another item. • First you need to find some beetles and equip a bottle, next you need to start to scoop up the beetle, then pause the game and replace the bottle with an item you no longer need. • Tada, you now have an extra bottle that you can capture a fairy with and forcefully take its life-force/magic. 12 –Super Metroid: Sequence Breaking, • Super Metroid is one of the most popular games to speed run, and from this has come many time saving exploits such as ‘Arm Pumping’: that’s right; you can pump your arm so hard you skip an entire boss. • Arm pumping can be performed by rapidly changing between aiming diagonally and normally, this gives you extra speed and makes you look baller as fuck. • Other sequence breaking exploits include, ‘the green gate glitch’, the ‘Mock ball’ and ‘damage jumping’. However none of those exploits help you get ripped. 11 –Civilisation V: Give Me Everything, • There was a period of time after the release of the Brave New World expansion where you could force the enemy into trading everything they had, even in multiplayer, this led to many rage quits and tears. • To take everything they had you just had to wait for the enemy to initiate a trade with you, then you modify it to suit your needs and accept it for them. • This exploit no longer exists in the current version of Civ five, but that doesn’t mean that the pleasant memory of a useless multiplayer has faded. |
